ROADMASTER’S LIMITED WARRANTY
Ø Long Block Engines – 12 months/unlimited miles
Ø Long Block Commercial Use – 6 months/6000 miles
Ø Short Block Engines – 6 months/6000 miles
Ø ENGINES USED FOR RACING OR MARINE APPLICATIONS HAVE NO WARRANTY.
THERE WILL BE NO WARRANTY ADJUSTMENTS BEYOND THE ABOVE TIME AND MILEAGE LIMITATIONS.
PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY :
ROADMASTER warrants to the purchaser that it will repair or replace, at ROADMASTER’S option, during normal working hours, any remanufactured short block or long block assemble that fails due to faulty workmanship or defective new parts provided by ROADMASTER during the warranty period, when properly installed, and under normal use and service for the period of time or mileage from date of installation as specified below. This Limited Warranty is not an unconditional guarantee against all failures or hazards.
Any alleged engine warranty sent to Roadmaster for inspection must be accompanied with the oil pump upon returning to the Roadmaster Houston factory.
PARTS AND LABOR REIMBURSEMENT ALLOWANCE FOR AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIANS
Roadmaster will credit distributor/jobber for the engine, parts, and allowed labor. The distributor/jobber will credit installer or owner. Roadmaster must be contacted before work is started. All claims are subject to Roadmaster's inspection and approval.
Ø All repairs or long block engine replacements covered during the warranty period shown will be reimbursed at the Factory Time as shown in Chilton Time and Parts Guide.
Ø All repairs or short block engine replacements covered during the warranty period shown will be reimbursed at the Factory Time as shown in Chilton Time and Parts Guide ) four hundred dollars maximum
Ø There is no labor reimbursement for owner installed or do-it yourself installations.
Ø Labor is paid only if the repair work is authorized by Roadmaster.
Ø ROADMASTER will not be responsible for oil, filter, coolant, towing charges, car rental, down time, loss of use, lodging, phone calls, damage due to accident, damage caused by collision, fire, theft, freezing, inconvenience, commercial loss, vandalism, riot, explosion, objects striking the engine or the vehicle, or any other consequential or resulting losses or damages of any nature whatsoever related to the warranty claim
WARRANTY EXCEPTIONS
This warranty does not apply to any unit improperly installed or failure caused due to overheating, unwashed parts or defective components that are transferred from the old engine, such as oil pump, front cover, filter, cylinder heads, push rods, rocker arms, lifters, clogged radiators, carburetors, etc. not furnished with the rebuilt unit. Warranty also does not apply to units abused, mistreated, improperly broken in, oil starved, units with pre-ignition or detonation problems, burned or melted pistons, or operated under conditions causing greater than normal wear, or used for purposes other than it was originally designed for; or when engine is operated on any fuel other than gasoline or diesel except when specified by ROADMASTER for use with other fuel; or when engine is specified for passenger car use is installed in a pickup, truck, van or Class B or C recreational vehicle; or when vehicles odometer is inoperable; or when engine failure is due to thrust, bearing damage; or when engine is installed in a Class A motor home/recreational vehicle.
IMPORTANT: This warranty is void unless ROADMASTER’S warranty card is filled out completely, including vehicle identification number, mileage, date of installation, signed and returned to ROADMASTER within ten (10) days of installation to validate the warranty. The owner must provide, upon request, documentation of normal maintenance performed during the term of the warranty coverage. ROADMASTER makes no other warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a purpose, except as otherwise required by the laws of the state to the customer, and shall not be liable for any damages other than those required by law. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.
CRANKSHAFT KITS
Roadmaster Engine Corporation warrants to the purchaser that it will replace free of charge, during normal working hours, at the location of purchase or installation, any crankshaft kit it remanufactured that is found to be defective in materials or workmanship, before installation, with the exceptions shown below. The warranty covers replacement of the part only and does not include any labor.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: parts that are damaged by abuse, neglect, or accident, fluids or towing charges, loss of time, loss of use of vehicle, inconvenience, commercial loss or consequential damages, nor do repairs or replacement extend this warranty beyond the described period from the date of the original installation.
The remanufacturer makes no other warranties, expressed or implied, other than the warranties of the merchantability and fitness fro a particular purpose implied by law, and shall not be liable for any damages other than those provided by law.
This warranty is extended ONLY to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
CYLINDER HEADS
Roadmaster Engine Corporation to the purchaser that it will replace free of charge, during normal working hours, at the location of purchase or installation, any Cylinder Head it remanufactured that is found to be defective in materials or workmanship, for a period of 6 months, unlimited miles from the date of installation, with the exceptions shown below. The warranty covers replacement of the part only and does not include any labor.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: parts that are damaged by abuse, neglect, or accident, fluids or towing charges, loss of time, loss of use of vehicle, inconvenience, commercial loss or consequential damages, nor do repairs or replacement extend this warranty beyond the described period from the date of the original installation.

PROCEDURE FOR HANDLING A WARRANTY CLAIM
Ø Call the ROADMASTER factory for instructions before removing an engine or making any type of field repairs. Please ask for the warranty manager when calling.
Ø Have the following information available when calling:
o Part number and production number of the engine
o Installer’s name and phone number
o Date and mileage of installation
o Nature of problems
Many times ROADMASTER can solve the problem on the phone.
Ø If a field repair or engine replacement is necessary, an invoice must be sent with the engine and one mailed to the factory with the above information. ROADMASTER cannot handle a warranty claim, field repair or engine replacement until the old unit, engine or parts are returned to the ROADMASTER factory for inspection. Field repair parts found defective by the factory will be credited at jobber cost. Engines found to be defective by the factory will be credited to the jobber or distributor and labor will be credited as specified in the Engine Limited Warranty Policy upon authorization by ROADMASTER.
